Compliance Officer - Management Systems

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and manage compliance with ISO management systems, and other IT industry-related compliance standards.
Track industry updates and changes to compliance standards, implementing necessary process improvements within the organisation.
Ensure all elements of management systems (ISO 9001, 27001 etc.) are periodically reviewed and updated as needed.
Support teams in preparing, updating and maintaining documentation, processes, and evidence.
Maintain compliance records, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date, well-organised, and audit-ready.
Plan, prepare, and facilitate periodic internal compliance audits and ensure operational readiness for external audits.
Follow up on non-compliance reports for corrections and corrective actions.
Develop and maintain the training calendar for management systems, coordinating regular awareness programs for relevant teams.
Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery plan is in place, reviewed and updated regularly
Conduct business continuity and disaster recovery exercises periodically and address any weaknesses identified.
Organise and hold necessary management review meetings to track progress, identify gaps, and address compliance-related concerns.
Liaise with external compliance authorities and institutions to ensure NCINGA adheres to both local and international regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or a related professional qualification in Business, Law, Management, IT, or a relevant field.
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a compliance or audit-related role (experience in IT industry compliance is an advantage).
Familiarity with ISO standard concepts, particularly ISO 27001 and ISO 9001. Experience on ISO 20000 will be an advantage.
