Lead Engineer - Data/Machine Learning

We are seeking an experienced Lead Engineer in Data/Machine Learning to design and maintain robust data pipelines, ensuring seamless data integration and processing, while also enhancing our machine learning initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about data engineering and big data technologies, with a keen interest in applying machine learning knowledge and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain robust data processing pipelines using Google Cloud Dataflow, Apache Beam, MQTT, and Pub/Sub.
Implement ETL processes with tools like Apache Beam and PySpark for data transformation.
Manage data warehousing solutions, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.
Design and implement BI dashboards using tools such as Looker, Grafana, and Looker Studio, connecting to data warehouses for actionable insights.
Collaborate with ML specialists to integrate data pipelines with machine learning models and support the deployment of these models using platforms like Google Cloud Vertex AI and AWS SageMaker.
Optimize data and machine learning workflows to enhance the performance and scalability of our systems.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
Over 5 years of experience in data engineering and big data technologies, with at least 2 years focused on machine learning projects or integrations.
Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms like Google Cloud and AWS, and proficient in developing ETL pipelines and BI dashboards using tools such as Apache Beam, PySpark, Looker, and Grafana.
Strong knowledge of data integration, processing pipelines, and computing infrastructure, alongside a solid understanding of AI/ML algorithms and their deployment on platforms like Google Cloud Vertex AI and AWS SageMaker.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with proven leadership abilities to guide and mentor team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant certifications in Google Cloud or AWS data platforms.
AI/ML certifications.
Experience with AI/ML model deployment and maintenance.
Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
